ABOUT US

Liz Durfee is the owner and principal of EF | Design & Planning, LLC. Following several years of studies and work in Michigan, Liz returned to New Hampshire in 2013 to continue her planning career in the Seacoast region, a location that has always felt like home. In 2017, she made the leap into the world of independent consulting with the goals of crafting her practice around the functional planning areas most important to her, bringing new ideas and perspectives to projects, and providing flexible, reliable, and thoughtful services. Liz’s approach to planning is to improve the way human activity and natural systems function through innovative and integrated planning. Collaboration, transparency, quality, and commitment are core aspects of her work.

Carbon Footprinting.

Liz completed the University of New Hampshire's Carbon Footprinting Certificate Program in 2025/26. Through this program, Liz built on her background in life cycle analysis and participated in hands on training with greenhouse gas inventory tools.  This enhances EF Design & Planning's ability to bring diverse approaches to local resilience planning efforts and we look forward to advancing our 'whole community' resilience work.
