strategic [watershed] planning

Currently I am guiding a strategic planning process with the Acton Wakefield Watersheds Alliance (AWWA). The objective of this process is to review and refresh the organization's vision, goals, and action steps.

We kicked off our work with a Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (or SWOT) Analysis. A SWOT Analysis is great planning tool for brainstorming and gathering input in an organized way. This work laid the foundation for identifying a new framework for structuring the plan and developing targeted goals for various stakeholder groups.

AWWA is a champion of watershed planning in New Hampshire. It has been a privilege for me to work with the executive director and executive board on this process. Their knowledge and commitment to water quality is a tremendous asset to the communities and lakes in the region. I'm looking forward to seeing their great work continue in the future!
